Integrate with Abode security system

I would like to see all the arlo cameras integrated with Abode.

Currently Abode advertises that their system integrates fully with all NEST products, including their camera line.  I am a fan of Netgear's Arlo camera products and would prefer to use those instead of Nest.  I would suggest some effort by Netgear to reach out to Abode and make sure Netgear Arlo cameras will also integrate into their software and security system in the same way.

I emailed Abode so see if they have Arlo integrated into their system, like they do Nest. I would encourage you to reach out to the Abode team with your API documentation ASAP. See their official response below...

1. Do Netgear Arlo cameras integrate with Abode software just like the Nest cams do? If the answer is “somewhat”, please explain.
A: ( abode has not integrated with the Arlo product yet as we are waiting on them to release their API documentation so that we can start reviewing the integration process)

Arlo has already partnered with WinkSmartThingsIFTTTStringify, and Telguard. We are continuously working on additional partnerships and integrations to widen the options for you to use your Arlo devices in even more Smart Home environments. Keep an eye out on the community for new Arlo partner integration announcements.

I agree completely, I am renting a house and I bought the Arlo cameras because they are completely wireless and leave the least impct to the property when removed. I picked up the Abode system because it doesnt require a contract to function but has the option to have cellular notifications if the network is down separate from the active monitoring contract. I say this because, this feature combined with arlo on a ups is a strong combination allowing for security at least for a bit in a power outage situation.

I strongly support this. Especially with Nest now being walled off in the Google product suite, there is a clear pathway for Arlo to become the preferred camera alternative through native integration with abode. I use Arlo cameras at two properties and am in the process of purchasing for a third, where I intend to use abode for security, rather than Simplisafe (it's nearest competitor in terms of function and the availability of central monitoring). Despite the aggressive marketing of Simplisafe, they suffer from 1) a lack of integrations and 2) the requirement that one becomes captive to their proprietary components, which are inferior to Arlo. Google is quickly following in Simplisafe's footprint and they may be likely to lose consumers who, like me, are wary of data privacy. (I just purchased an ecobee thermostat, though I may have preferred Nest). I discovered abode because I was seeking the option of self or central monitoring, and because I can use the cameras of my choice via IFTTT. Arlo is my camera of choice and I feel there is an opportunity for both Arlo and abode to win business from Google (and Simplisafe) by focusing on the void being created here.
