arlo pushes the purchase of a 5th camera but does not support concurrent recording/viewing

There is nothing on the Arlo website or on the constant ads on the main screen that push a user to purchase a fifth camera that discloses the fact that the fifth camera would be subjected to limited functionality, namely not been able to record of be live-viewed concurrently with the other 4 cameras.

Either stop the practice and upgrade the system or be clear on the capabilities when a user invests another $150+ on the fifth camera pushed by the ad, and under the believe that the basic service of 5 cameras will provide the same capability of the other four regarding concurrency..

What does that mean? You are saying that the fifth camera won't record a video when activated by its motion sensor if one of more of the other cameras are recording?

Danramos,

As I said: "concurrently with the other 4 cameras", so you can only view or record simultaneously in 4 cameras limited by the system.

If you are viewing the surroundings of your property and you have the 5 cameras Arlo promts a user to buy you can only view or record simultaneously the events in front of 4 of those cameras, in order to view the 5th camera you have to stop viewing one of the other 4.

Understood. Do you know if you could get it to work if you upgrade your plan up one tier?

I wonder what would be the case if you have 10 cameras under that paid subscription.

Thanks Rodolfo.

The limitation is of the base not the service.  Others suggested buying a second base for the additional cameras over the 4, but viewing them all on two bases would be difficult as well on non-windows oriented mobile devices.

Thank you for posting your idea! It has been implemented. You now have the ability to stream up to five (5) cameras concurrently. We truly appreciate all the suggestions and ideas on how to improve the product. Keep them coming!
