Arlo cameras that use a power adapter instead of batteries

I love the fact that Arlo cameras are 100% wire-free but I would also like to see a powered camera offered so I don't have to worry about buying batteries for cameras that are in locations where there is an accessible wall outlet.

yup,the only thing that stop me from buy this set is the lack option of an accessory to power the arlo from a external power....im waiting since they showup in the market waiting for a third party Chinese company to make an adaptor for ir or from arlo to make it real ,well is 6 months since I research about this system, and is like I would have to modify the device on my own.....or just get an another option

The batteries are rated at 3V a piece. 4 batteries makes 12V. A 5V power supply shouldn't be enough to reliably power this camera. Something has to be compromised. What am I missing?

What's the intended purpose of the USB port anyway?

I powered up a Arlo with a mini-usb cable using a iPhone charger.  That tells me a 1A 5V DV supply is sufficient.

Would love to see Arlo team provide a replacement plastic cap which allows owner to plug into the existing usb port in the battery compartment. A $2 solution.

What would be even better is that they make the camera with an external power port. Then you could use a 12v 7ah battery with a down converter to 5v. Hook the battery up to a small solar panel and you will never need to replace them. That's what I did. But my process would have been so much easier with a water tight power port on the camera.
