Working With Other Manufacturer's Motion Detectors
I am sure that this idea has been posted before, but it seems to me that one of the things that is lacking in the Arlo system is the lack of motion sensors that would compliment the system. I currently am using my Arlo system with Smartthings, so I am able to use a multitude of motion sensors sold by other manufacturers to trigger my cameras, but it seems that the Smartthings users are in the minority here. The soon to be released Arlo lights/motion detectors are a very welcome addition to the system and over time I expect to purchase several of them. But, they are expensive. I would like to see Arlo either manufacture some less expensive motion sensors or partner with a couple of other manufacturers to directly integrate with the Arlo system. I use my motion sensors more than any other device in my Smartthings/Arlo system to fire the cameras since the cameras can't see everything inside and outside my home.
