Text Alerts

I would like to have text alerts as I find I look at my phone quicker vs email.

If you want to get text messgs instead of emails, use the format to convert an email to sms .

for exp; in verizon if you use    phone#@vtext.com   for your email, the messg will show up in your phone as an sms messg.

check with your phone service for the proper format to do this

formats as follow;

You could use something like Text Me Plz (https://textmeplz.com),  which sends text alerts with an image of the zone that's alerted.

Yeah, right now I'm having to have the email service forward the email as text to my phone. It's not the most elegant thing. This is with my gmail account, since my desktop email client is not going to retrieve emails from the server until I check it, and the email server doesn't allow me to set up forwarding rules. I also have my phone to not receive email until I check it (helps conserve battery). Hence a text notification would be much preferred.

Was the T-Mobile: cellnumber@tmomail.net service discontinued? If so, how do we format to continue to receive a text message.
