Move To HTML5

Highly recommend moving from flash to HTML5. Many work provided mobile devices restrict app installing and since Android and Apple don't have flash support so you cannot stream the cameras through browsers. Flash has become very restricted in its support. Moving to HTML5 would solve a lot of issues and provide better future compatibility.

The way I found out was because I am subscribing to this thread and received a notification that someone had added a comment. Would not have known otherwise.

Thanks for letting us know Arlo.

That was a really fast development, thanks to agile processes.

Thanks Arlo for changing.

So Arlo have moved to HTML5 , that's great news, thanks.

Is there an official announcement?

Is there a press release?

Is there any guidence for owners?

Is any download or update required ?

Is there any detailed information?

Any info appreciated, thanks

Questions are best posted somewhere that gets answers.

This is no longer an "Idea".

Status changed to: Implemented

With Flash Player support becoming obsolete in the very near future, we’re happy to announce that as of May 1st, we’ve transitioned away from Flash Player and it will no longer be needed to live stream Arlo Cameras when using a web browser.

We plan to transition away from Flash Player for CVR users in a release later this month.

UPDATE (6/23): You are no longer required to have Adobe Flash Player if you have CVR subscription plan.
