Motion Detection - Record on....add a delay?

I am new to this product, and so far I am pleased.  I have been playing around with the rules a bit and I have a suggestion.  So in the scenario where you have setup the following rules to record video on multiple cameras if motion is detected on the configured camera.

Rules:

1.  If motion is detected on Camera A then record video on Camera A (This allows Camera A to detect and record motion as normal.)

2.  If motion is detected on Camera A then record video on Camera B (This rule tells Camera B to start recording video when Camera A detects motion)

The problem:

When there is motion, say a person walking in the area where Camera A is setup.  The delay for Camera A will sometimes miss or catch the very end of the person leaving Camera A area/zone.  I figured that setting up rule to record on Camera B would help, as this person walking would come into Camera B view when walking through the Camera A area/zone.  But I found out that with the default setting of recording time of 10 secs, the person coming into Camera A's view was barely caught (which is expected due to delay in firing the camera up, I get that).  But I figured that the Camera B recording would catch this.  Camera B's recording time is also set to the default of 10 secs, and this wasnt enought time apparently to allow the person to come in to Camera B's view, so Camera B recording caught absolutely nothing.

The suggestion:
Create option in rule for recording to allow a delay.  You would use this on Camera B (rule 2).
If motion is detected on Camera A then record video on Camera B --> then add a few seconds delay before the start of recording on Camera B so you catch what you may have missed without the delay.  I know I may be able to up the recording time(s), but this could work with the default of 10 secs if there was an option to add a delay.  My .02.

why not just set camera B to record longer?

Thanks for the idea. That would work, but with longer record times = larger vids and more battery drain. This is why i am suggesting delay.

No prob. It shouldn't be that much of a hit on the batteries though. You already have the cameras set at the lowest 10sec setting. What's 10sec more for a total of 20 sec recording time. At the recommended usage that would still net you 12-20sec videos a day and the batteries should still last 4-6 months.
