IFTTT support

A lot of new "smart" products have IFTTT support, it makes them smarter. The Homeboy (where I assume Netgear ripped the idea for this product) has solid IFTTT support, so you guys should add it to beat them. Thanks.

So their IFTTT channel has gone live without an announcement.

It's basic but works well.

I do need them to add the ability for a "that" command to be "set back to schedule" rather than just "arm, start recording or disarm".

Fantastic news! Better late than never. This is truly fantastic news. I can now get some more cameras and really start doing cool stuff with Arlo. Thankyou Netgear and Arlo.

I also just want to say, I have tested it,, and it does a lot and works really well. Battery noficication triggers, motion triggers. As well, you can control arming, disarming and camera record. Really great! I have an issue where family members I give access to the account and with whome I share my cameras can't see them in ifttt. Might just be a bug or a permission somewhere. This is the only issue I have found. I will log via arlo support.

I have just briefly tried it and the only things you can control are the in-buit arming, disarming and camera record.  Custom modes, it seems, aren't yet supported.  This, however, is a great start!

At least the arlo cameras are still holding thier value. Just sold my base and 3 cameras for 400. Sure i lost a bit but i am now researching other systems that have integration with ifttt and ither home automation devices like Echo etc..

Too bad because cameras are very good. Goodbye Arlo. Please dont share anything you saw while you were here.

There wasn't an official announcement, but Arlo has official ifttt support as of Thursday. A lot of the recipes made so far are made by the arlo development team. This sealed the deal on me buying them!

While IFTTT support is now available, we are still working on optimizing this feature. We recommend users wait until an official announcement is made before taking advantage of IFTTT.
