Beta Testing

We are a Security Alarm Company, testing the arlo platform against the cameras we currently install for home automation. During our testing we have found the lag time to be up to 3 minutes for video notification. One video clip we had in the mailbox failed to record the delivery driver, however it did record the employee taking the mail out of the box with a thumbnail photo of the delivery driver. Weird I know. During Selected times at night we would receive several video clips by email with no movement of anything in the video. Netgear and Arlo need to improve the false video recordings or not make the cameras so sensitive to dust, shadows and vibration.

Pros: We do like the materials used to make the camera as well as the waterproof for being placed outdoors. We also like the magnetic feature as well. We are currently testing battery life against rechargable batteries. Love the clarity and real time recording. Love the 7 day storage with no fees.

Cons: Takes video Clips when there is no motion. Too many notifcations during the night due to false video recordings. (Ghost in the Air)

Amount of time it take to receive a video, Intruder can already be gone. Video not being recorded (Mail Driver)

No Homeowner Video Storage Servers.

We would love to be a Beta tester for future Arlo Products. We are currently purchasing the Arlo Q to compare it against the cameras we install as well.
