beginning of clips

Why do the video clips not show the culprit like they used to? I used to be able to scroll through the clips and watch only the ones with the car/person/animal in the Library clip. Now they all show the plain scene instead of the object in it. This makes me have to watch ALL clips just to see what triggered the camera. It is very time consuming now. I saw this discussion when that update happened and now cant find the answer about why we have that 'flash' at the beginning of all clips now. It was much better when the trigger was caught at the beginning of the clip.

And why does it flicker the beginning of the next clip, then show the next clip, when you click the next arrow now? It makes me think I missed the car at the end of the one I'm clicking from, but it's really the next one.
