View wider area on activity zone (live feed) but don't record

Currently the new Smart options allow you to set an activity zone, outside of which no notifications are generated.  However, recording still takes place ouside of the activity zone.   I think it would be a good idea to have the option to only record within the activity zone and activity outside is ignored.  This would be useful (as in my case) when a camera is postioned for covering property entrances but also has a lot of background activity.  I would still like to be able to view the wider area (live feed) but i dont want to record, other than direct activity around the entrance.
