Able to record video onto DVR, etc. and able to pause or freeze-frame video playback

Bought an Arlo CCTV system with five cameras a few days ago and so far I'm very pleased with it!

However people at Netgear, I've got a couple of suggestions for improving an already, very good system....

1: To be able to record video onto a DVR etc at home, just in case my Internet stops working at a crucial time and I can't save on the Cloud.

2: To be able to pause or freeze-frame video play-back, so that you could zoom in onto a vehicle license plate etc.

Thanks for listening.

Your company is falling through the cracks between the companies selling wireless home security systems with a DVR - without all the bells and whistles such as 2 way audio and the alarm feature and the Arlo Pro 2 which has all (or most) of the desired features without a DVR. NetGear would attract a multitude of customers if you maintained the features of the Pro 2 but added a DVR in place of cloud storage.  Most consumers are currently acutely aware of ISP up-charging for data usage beyond a certain level.  The Arlo Pro 2 would be a HOT item in the home surveillance world if consumers could avoid cloud storage even if that meant spending more for a reliable DVR option.

Fledgling

I really liked Arlo Ultra; but, it does not meet 2 of my most important requirements.

Ability to record locally to my DVR and be able to display on an external monitor.

I would have to settle with one that gives me these 2 feature.

I do not like myvideo on cloud especially when hacking is a real problem.

Besides, I do not want to pay subscription and I am looking for a solution where I should be able to record onto my local device and be able to access and view on an external monitor. It is too much of a hassele to log into the application. As a senior, I want ease, simplicity and exonomical (okay with one time investment on the equipment).

Arlo can considerably expand their market, especially with seniors who are most in need of security, who prefer to be independent and live alone as long as they can. You still can have subscription service for those who prefer it and who don't have problem with cloud saving.
