The motion doesn't pick up until almost out of the field. I cannot detect when someone is coming into the building until they are almost out of the field of vision? Why doesn't the camera start when the field is broken???

Two reasons.......
They are battery powered cameras and are "asleep" when nothing is happening to conserve battery. Takes a second or two to wake up.
They are cloud based cameras, take a second or two to contact the cloud and run your mode/rule.
If you can, plug the power cord into them. I believe they don't go to "sleep" if powered.
Also, make sure the motion is crossing the cameras field of view, not going straight towards it.

The powered feature only applies to the Pro 2 and not the Pro.
Repositioning the camera to have the movement across the field of view could help as well as adjusting the motion sensitivity.

Good to know Pro still sleeps even when powered. Thanks for the info.
And yes I forgot about the sensitivity too, good call. I set mine at 90-100% on day 1 and forgot about it.
