Since the recent app update, I've been getting new notifications that I do not want to see and I haven't found where to turn them off. I run on a schedule (9pm - 11:59pm + 12:00am - 6am) so I am getting a notification for each camera when armed and when a schedule is activated.  So I get 2 push notifications at 9pm (schedule activated and camera armed) for multiple cameras. Then at 11:59pm I get another set of notifications (schedule activated and camera disarmed), again at 12am, etc.

This is TOO MUCH NOISE and makes it difficult to actually see the real events I would like to monitor. I only want to see push notifications for motion detected like it was prior to the upgrade. I've disabled mode change event types in the feed settings but this didn't seem to change anything.

    Hi all,

A quick update on the mode change notification feature, it's currently in progress, but is now live on iOS, with Android support in the works. On iOS, mode change notifications are enabled by default and can be toggled on or off at any time in your notification settings.

You can set up Focus mode to completely hide them. it's working for me.

    Hi @r3awak3n

We do have some enhancements planned that should help with these symptoms. I will be sure to provide more information and updates here when possible.

    Thanks

Could you please help setting up this Focus on an iPhone? I can’t find anything with the label Focus. Thanks so much.

Sorry, you were right, my bad I started testing it last night and didn’t see the notification when I woke up. My schedule just changed, and the notifications showed up once the Focus turned off… Well, hopefully it at least helps with the sound.

I started to make a setup in Focus but then I realized that when all messages to my phone are ignored by focus then what is the point of having Arlo on during the night. I understand this a good temporary workaround to avoid hearing the sounds but I rather wait for real fix by the Arlo team. In the meantime I lower the volume instead on my iPhone 😁

The proposal was to schedule focus to start one minute before the scheduled mode change, and end one minute afterwards. So normal operation most of the night.

Thanks for your reply. I totally misunderstood the short period Focus setup explanation. I missed the short period part 😁. Now it makes sense. I will give it a try and use it until Arlo comes with a solution.

As if shoving an half baked app which broke all existing schedules wasn't enough, we're still waiting on this notification "fix". And don't try to answer with the iOS focus mode Arlo. Disabling something you've put in there yourself should not take a few months for a modern development team.

Hi Shane. Thanks for the update. Could you please specify where to find this toggle on/off feature in IOS. I have updated the latest version of Arlo on my iPhone 11 and iPad Air 11 but can’t find anything. Thanks to advise.

Press the profile icon in the upper left.  Then Notifications.

What do you see when you press "meddelanden"?  That is where I see "Notifications".

Ok, so definitely not there.

Are you running either the 6.38 or 6.39 version of the app?

Also, it might not be rolled out in Europe yet.  I'm tagging @BrookeN and @ShayneS to follow up on that aspect.

What I understand you can only silent the message for max 24 hrs and then you have to do that again the next day. This was already there before the latest update.

The feature you don't have yet is sticky, so will last until you change it.

For each location I see (in order):

  1. Notifications (which is the pause function you have)
  2. Mode Change Notifications (which is the new feature that lets you turn those notifications on/off)
  3. Critial Alerts (only available if you have Arlo Emergency Response as part of your subscription)

Ok hopefully they release it for Europe soon. Thanks for your help.
