I don't know if anyone from Netgear/Arlo is really looking at this problem.
This seems a major issue.
I have 10 Arlo 3 / 4s all hooked up to solar panels around my property. Even before with Pro 2, I have set up routines in Alexa to alert me by sound if motion is detected. This set up has been flawless since probably 12 - 15 months ago. The routines haven't changed and I have started noticing that I am not hearing anything for a bit and then I confirmed that the audio alerts are be sounding from the Echo Shows/Dots etc.
I have tried deleting the routine and changing the trigger but this does not solve the issue. I am trying not to disable the skill and restarting again but from what I am seeing here, it really seems it is a problem with Arlo itself.

Sorry tofer1907
I know how you feel. The only other thing I can think to check, make sure in your Arlo app the mute notification is not on, you find that in the settings menu. One other thing in the Alexa app make sure motion announcement is enabled, that is found under your device menu in Alexa then pick cameras and pick one of your cameras listed and make sure the motion announcement is highlighted. If not activate it. I wish you all the luck.

Motion announcement on Echo have stopped working recently. The bell press announcements are still working. This is for Arlo video doorbell wire free.
I have checked the Arlo app, the bell is not in silent mode. I have the disabled the Arlo skill in Alexa app, enabled it and added the video door bell again in Alexa app. The motion and bell press announcements are turned on in Alexa app.
Can you please let me why motion announcements are not working on Echo when the bell press announcements are working?

Having Same issue, this has been down for quite Awhile, Guessing beginning of this month. Have Tried Multiple Solutions.
* Have Removed and Re Added the Camera in Alexa, it does not Separate the Device into 2 Devices on my end. Its all the same Device, Have both Motion and Door Bell Press Toggle. Have Toggled both of them, The Doorbell Press Works, The Motion Does Not.
Typically Alexa has a Default routine for Motion, I have tried creating a separate routine as well. there is some type of communication issue going on with the Devices.

Great! I hope for resolve soon. The Arlo notifications through Alexa are most important. Since they have stopped working, I have missed much activity.

I've been on the phone with Amazon and Arlo for about 3 hours the past two days along with multiple emails. 9 days ago Alexa stopped making Arlo motion announcements. Nothing was changed on my end to cause this. Arlo and Amazon techs have verified that all systems are configured properly. I'm computer tech myself. I know how to fix stuff. So far, this problem stumps Amazon and Arlo's best techs. Another week of this and I will need to replace Arlo with Ring. What else is one to do???

Yes there is another thread about this as well.
I have 10 Arlo Pro 3s and 4s on one hub and 3 Pro 2s on another hub in property and invested a ton on solar panels etc.
It is really annoying that this is not working.
I contacted support and they asked me to delete app, reinstall the skill etc. But still it is not working. I mean, literally I haven't changed anything for the past 18 months with my routines. So it is definitely not a problem on my side.
I also have a couple of Reolinks around my place as well - they don't do Alexa motion integration so that is why I have stayed with Arlo.
I really hope that fix this asap.

Well I've spent the last few days trying to figure this out as well and nada. Ex-Microsoft-y of 20 years so "yes, I tried rebooting the system" 😉 This thing stinks of unreported patch / hotfix that either Arlo or Amazon pushed out and broke everything.
That's what I just don't get about Arlo.... Their hardware is decent quality and well manufacturered. The App has decent UX albeit lacking some standard features like per-camera notification frequency settings / snoozing. But then you get into their backend and it's just mind-blowingly terrible like it was designed & written by Somali email scammers. Then they charge a premium for "service", half of which is basic functionality stuff that anyone else just includes. I bet you guys have spent the same amount of time waiting for a feed to display or answering a doorbell ring. Hell, I've missed deliveries for that reason! In fact, the Ultra system I have I bought for my business and wound up taking it home because it just wasn't reliable for s**t. Anyway, rant over. Please post updates if you guys get anywhere and I'll do the same. Best of luck to us all.

Yeah it seems everyone is having this problem. I checked it against smartthings too and the motion trigger event isn't getting there either.

Something of note; I just checked my Smartthings integration and the Arlo motion event isn't getting sent there either (but the Arlo app registered it). Looks like a break in the passing of events on Arlos side.
