Hello, first poster here.

I'm thinking of upgrading the house with several Arlo cameras and a doorbell.

Now, I'm thinking a wired doorbell is the way to go since I allready have a wired "dumb" doorbell.

Thing is though... I have a built in chime/speaker for the doorbell inside the wall behind a flat cover.

I watched the installation video and thought to myself... How will i fit that small white box/module inside behind my flat cover on the wall.

I will upload a few photos so you guys can have a look at what I mean.

Also, installing the wired Arlo doorbell. The thought is that I will be able to utilize the current built in speaker to get the "ding dong" sound from the Arlo doorbell, right?

Hard to say.  Looking at the last picture, it appears to be an Elko digital chime. Do you see a model number anywhere?

FWIW, the only Elko chime I see on Ring's compatibility list is the plus/RS16.  It's is incompatible with Ring - so would be incompatible with Arlo also.

Thank you for the fast reply!
I can't see any other info than the pictures provided, sorry.
I guess it's a bad idea then to go for the wired doorbell in my case.

Maybe I have to go for the battery one and also buy the add on chime thing to put in a wall socket.
Then just live with an extra useless box on the wall 😅
