One of my cameras is set up at the front gate of my property looking toward the road.  Its a county road so probably only one car per every few minutes.  The road is 60ft from my gate so i need to utilize the activity zone to capture only gate movement and movement on my land.  I have tried different size zones down to about a 2ft by 2ft box 100ft away from the road.  I have also adjusted the sensitivity down to 5%.  With both of these settings its still going off with cars driving by.

I read on the Arlo website you have to either have a Smart Subscription or the camera must be wired to power for activity zones to work.  Since this camera system is only 1mo old, I show to still have the free Smart 12mo Subscription.  I meet one of the requriements for Activity Zones to work yet they dont.

I just bought a Ultra 3-Pack that I was going to install outside, sometimes over the weekend. Still, I did turn them on just to give it a go, and right away I was shocked by the huge connection/streaming delay.

What I read across Arlo's forums seem quite alarming (pun intended).

Is there anyone for who the activity zone feature DOES work?

My battery is only at 45%. I just replaced it. I am thinking that might be it. Activity zones are working on other cameras. This camera had them and now nothing? I know camera needs to be hardwired to work

There are no activity zones unless the cameras are plugged into a AC adapter.
Plugged in you can arrange the zones as you want. Problem is that they do not work properly.
My zones are ignored as I get a recording every time a bus, or truck pass by outside the zones.
I started a post on that and others are experiensing the same.
No solution from Arlo yet. 😢

Activity zones effect your notifications. They don’t effect what gets recorded. Anything the motion sensor hits will trigger a recording. The recording then gets sent to the cloud for analysis. Based on your activity zone settings, Arlo will determine if that recording has a person, animal or vehicle in it. Based on your notification settings, you will be notified if you have notifications enabled for person, animal or vehicle and it’s determined that’s what was within your activity zone. All recordings will be in your cloud library regardless of your activity and notification settings.

Worked perfect for a year on the free plan. I was so happy with the system I upgraded to the Ultra paid plan for my 9 cameras.
Now I have no menu items for activity zones, I’m getting no notifications. The system has become awful.

Any help greatly appreciated.

I'm experiencing the same issue. I set up activity zones when I first set up the system, now they have apparently all disappeared and the smart notifications are terribly inaccurate. I can't find where to even access them in the application according to the help articles — was that feature completely removed?
