hello Team,

I've added two Arlo Pro 4 to my existing Pro 2 & WMB4000  installations.

The live videos and notifications work fine but no videos are stored on cloud and local usb

The videos are OK for the old Pro 2 devices , but nothing from the Pro 4.

Could you please assist ?

All arlo camera models post 2018 and after the pro2 require a subscription to record to the cloud.

Do you have a subscription (either paid or trial) for the Pro 4s?

Were the Pro 4s added to your base, or did you connect them to your home wifi?

I don't have any subscription, but all my camera are linked to my Arlo base stations

The Pro 4s need a subscription to get any cloud storage.  That policy started with the Ultra camera (launched back in 2018).

They should be recording to the USB storage in the base.  But the only way to see recordings on the local storage with a VMB4000 is to eject the USB device from the base and connect it to a PC.  The app and my.arlo.com only show cloud storage.

this is not very cool.... I would not buy new units if I was aware of the new limitations...

Any, how can I start a subscription trial ?

It should have opted you in automatically when you onboarded the new cameras.  You can look in the subscription area of the app to see.

If that didn't happen, then there is no way to you to start it - you'd need to get a paid subscription.  Not sure if Arlo support can do anything - I am tagging the two Arlo mods, in case they want to follow up:  @JamesC and @ShayneS.

Note this is a holiday in the US, so any mod response will likely be delayed.

Are you in a country where Arlo offers a subscription?

You should be able to get a subscription then.  Perhaps try my.arlo.com

Jimmy971,

Subscriptions won't be available when using the iOS mobile app, you need to log in from a PC to get started.

Follow the instructions here: https://kb.arlo.com/000056588/How-do-I-subscribe-to-Arlo-Secure

Thanks for your feedback

I’ve checked already for pc browser and no success neither

I had to create a new account and rebuild everything from scratch, in order to access paid plans options etc

This is not really easy for endu-sers…
