This new update is complete garbage. I wish that I had never done it. The previous app was user friendly and easy to use. Whoever designed this update should be looking for a new job… same with the people that tested and approved it. I will be cancelling my subscription and switching to something else if changes are not made very soon. Listen to the people who pay for this product which is now awful to use.

I can't believe with this feedback you are still updating to this 'new' app. It is total garbage. I have 8 cameras that all had their own schedules and I frequently armed them or disarmed them based on activities on the property. Thats all gone now - guess its time to look for a new supplier!

Its very confusing. Why can’t it be so simple to schedule arm at this time everyday and disarm at this time without having to add tons of schedule days and times

Have to agree is as well, pushed off the upgrade until this past weekend. I previously ran five cameras across two properties and after the app upgrade was forced to buy a second plan since I had two locations. Basically felt like a price increase was pushed out without calling it what it was.

I HATE the new feed and the new app is horrendous. I too will be selling if not fixed soon… ugh!! Just when everything was working great they screwed the whole app up. Once I have made my decision on whom ill be going with ARLO is getting dumped.

Terrible update to App which is now no longer functional and not fit for purpose.
Arlo you have made an awful mistake and have made your product unusable.

this new dashboard is crap. I have already wasted over an hour just trying to rescheduled my cameras between two houses - to shut of the cameras during the day when I am home. Absolutely impossible.
Whoever programmed this piece of crap needs to be fired.- along with the idiots that approved it. The system is now unusable for me and I will throwing out the equipment and going to a different provider. I am absolutely dumbfounded at how bad the new dashboard is. Incomprehensible

Yeah, I concur. What brain AMPUTEES came up with this useless garbage? I really wanna know! What they seem to forget that there is also people who PAY FOR A SUBSCRIPTION! It's not like everyone gets this as a FREE SERVICE!

I feel your frustration. Ive spent countless amount of time trying to set up a plan. Now i just shut everything off. This must be one off the worst user interface updates ever!! The original wasnt especially good, but this is absolutely unusable.
Ive already cancelled my subscription plan.

App is horrible just when you think it could not get worse it does!!!! HORRIBLE with every software update.
It’s never Arlo’s App issues it’s the customers issues with saying it’s our WiFi or Cameras are not positioned correctly or we need to restart or remove devices. Then reinstall all cameras and this should solve my issues!!!! After doing all this we still have App connection, issues with recording subjects, the delay for a subject notification is horrible when you go to live feed the subject is long gone!!!

@Lint-47car I would be more than happy to look into the behavior you are seeing. Are you saying the feed is slow to load after receiving a notification of movement?

Agree completely. I don't want a 'security system'. I want cameras, set either on or off. I don't ever Arm or Disarm anything. From the change to tiny thumbnails in the feed (vs large previews of the recordings), to an incredibly confusing and over-engineered setup, the new UX is absolute garbage. They never should have forced us to update just to activate a new device.
I plan to dump all 10 of my devices and switch to Apple the very first day those are released. From a grossly overpriced cloud service, to massive steps backwards in usability, I'm done with Arlo.

I wish I had seen this sooner. My old 4 camera system was working great for years and the new app totally ruined it. Spent hours on the chat with CS to no avail. My old cameras are now paperweights and I'm so pissed I'll be throwing the whole system away and starting over with another company. Btw the customer service rep deleted some things in my text string with them very shady should be investigated.

The app/new UI continues to work with the legacy cameras but the app itself needs a mindset change. Try reading this FAQ to get some clarity and ask questions when stuck:

They updated my app last night 😖. Then automatically started a paid trial subscription. It was difficult to turn it off STOP THE STUPIDITY! Amazon just paid a bunch of $$ for this same thing. The new app really sucks. What are you people thinking? Look up the term intuitive and start from there.

A trial sub doesn't cost anything. As for why you now have one, it's a marketing ploy to get you to want to use new features and will expire with no lingering effects.

What a joke, i can see there has been motion but nothing has been recorded. Also when going on my phone it says all cameras have seen movement in the last minute. And every day i turn off 3 of my 5 cameras. in the morning, then back on at night, but sometimes 1 or 2 of them have turned back off hours later. And a lot of the time it says movement but no video or it will just show the time line under the video box but no picture.

Indeed it is catastrophic!!! Had issues with one of the cameras (PRO 4) which is not detecting motion anymore and ARLO tech support advised to upgrade the app. Unfortunately this has not fixed the issue BUT removed all my schedules. Trying since more than a hour to have them back and failed miserably. it is the most user unfriendly app I have ever seen!
