The usual fix is to position the camera so it eliminates the street, etc. that aren't part of the protected area as well as to turn down the motion sensitivity in your modes and rules. Battery life is achieved by limiting recording and live viewing to >5 minutes per day as well as to have a decent connection to your router or hub.

Try removing activity zones (if you use them). Then see about how many minutes of recording you are getting between charges.
