So I bought one of these today but had no idea I'd run into compatibility problems since my other three devices are all Arlo. App says I need to "upgrade to new app" but then warns that one of my cameras needs a firmware update but no update is available.

So much for plug and play!

I purchased an Arlo Essential Outdoor Camera bundle 2nd Generation last October. However, I have not been able to Install since this type of camera does not appear on your Arlo secure app. Please help. I live in Belize.

Unfortunately, these cameras may not have been made available in your region. Also, you can't purchase a plan in your country, making the camera less than useful unless you have a SmartHub to connect it to so you can use local recordings.

So I can provide a positive update on this. Although there are no firmware updates for one of my older cameras it still works fine for my purposes (motion detect, audio and live viewing) within the updated app.

 

A live chat with a rep/tech on the Arlo website was extremely helpful in providing this information and taking the time to stay with me while I got things all set up. Bravo!

Bought 2nd generation wire free doorbell and the picture does not appear in the app althought actualized. So tried all the same with the similar one of round button but when pressing ( after 30 hs and 100% charge and blue light fix ) it does not blink any colour light to make paring.

Can Arlo work well some day with no problem ???????

If there is no LED behavior, the battery may be depleted. Try charging the doorbell and then test to see if you still experience the same behavior.
