hello,

how can I view the cloud storage? Does this mean that for 7 days(free) the cameras are recording & the recorded days are stored in the cloud storage to be viewed? How do I access the specific day and time recordings?

The “library“ contains all your recorded video clips and still photos. Besides the motion triggered video clips you have the ability to record live footage when initiating Live View and take stills as well. Stills cannot be taken from a motion event, they can only be taken manually.

Your library is a calendar that shows dots for days on which video or still media was recorded. Tap on a day and you are taken to a page that shows thumbnails for all media files taken on that day. You may select one or multiple media files to do further actions on them like download, delete, share, mark as favorite.

Depending on your subscription plan your retention period for these media files will be 7, 30 or 60 days for the Basic, Premier and Elite plans respectively. Only the Basic plan is free. Any files older than your plan's retention period will be automatically deleted from your library.

My app is showing only one or two days max worth of videos not 7 days.. How do i have the app show all 7 days worth of video thks

You have to have recorded footage that is older than two days, but younger than seven.

I do have videos that r older than 2 days old.. I was just reading about the basic plan.. Guess it's only 1gb worth of videos so I guess that's the problem

No, space can't be the problem. There is no space limitation any more. Just days.

So, you're certain you had videos less than seven days old and they're not showing in your library? That shouldn't be.

Observe that with your more recent videos and see when they disappear from the library.

Oh Ok of there is no space restrictions now then there definitely a problem.. Yeah when I goto library.. It shows the 7 days but I only get one days worth of video or maybe 2 days max.. The other days r not highlighted

Hm, highlighted? Surely, you mean a green dot appears on a day with at least one available video clip. Here are my past seven days:

How are you accessing the library? Through an app or the browser? Try the other way. Browser access is at arlo.netgear.com.

Are you clicking on the number shown on a particular camera? That shows the number of videos recorded since the last time you looked at your library and will reset to 0 once viewed. However, clicking on the number engages the filter so you only see recordings for that one camera.  Use the Library tab instead.  Check the funnel-looking icon at the top which should be "empty" - if colored in, click on the icon, choose Reset and save the filter.  Then all recordings will be seen.

I'm viewing to using the app I also logged on through the browser n it doesn't show 7 days worth of video. Jg that's the problem. When i goto the library tab.. It should show all the videos recording for the past 7 days correct? But when I click on library it will only show maybe one or two days max.. Most of the time it's only one day.. So right now if I click on library "31" is highlighted in green dot n shows one video under it.. Me leaving this morning.. All the other dates r blank n not highlighted w no videos .. N I know I have videos recorded on the 30 n the previous dates.. But they r not showing under library..

You didn't answer about the filter being cleared that I suggested. Is it cleared or set? See my previous post for more details.

 

To post a screenshot, you can either embed a link in your post or use the image icon from the reply toolbar when creating a post, the one that looks like mountains, between the chain links and video icons.

I did as u instructed n reset the lil cone icon.. It was solid green. Now it's clear.. Still only showing 31st videos only

Well, that's not good. How is it that you're sure other recordings are there? Is it possible that you deleted those older videos? If so, they're gone forever. 

 

Maybe its time for a trouble ticket to see if there's something else that can be done.

Yeah I'm not deleting any videos I leave em. Yeah I might call tech support or create a ticket

Ok I'm so embarrassed. I figured out what's been happening.. My wife who also has access to the videos on her iphone has been deleting the videos every night without telling me. She thought they took up space on her phone but I advised her it's stored on netgears cloud.. So I apologize everyone. N thks for the feedback! 🙂
