My camera out back and front are up high - I get alerts but is there a way to get closer pictures of individuals or do I need to bring the camera down closer - the problem is in the back it will not be protected from the elements if I bring it down - there is no where to have it under any cover

The only way to get a closer image is to move the camera closer. No need to worry about weather protection - some of mine are wide open to weather.
