Can't watch videos from library

I can't watch videos from the library view online. I get a message that I am using the wrong browser. Which browsers are compatible? I am using Firefox.

Also, when I download a video from the library, it is just a black Quick Time file without content. I am on a MacBook Pro, OS 10.6.8. Is this compatible?

Have you tried Safari for Mac? If so, does this browser work as expected? Do you get any errors when using Firefox?
