  1. Replaced near flat batteries
  2. Camera upgraded to 1.2.10342
  3. Moved back to the camera position
  4. Did position test
  5. Now stuck in motion detection and camera postion test (busy)
  6. Resetting via open/close battery door
  7. Same problem

Also I have the same problem with another VMC3030 that was previously upgraded to 1.2.10342

Can i roll back to a more stable firmware?

Now concerned about the next battery change on the 3rd VMC3030 that is currently still working - on 1.2.16720

Did you restart the base? What are the LEDs showing?

Yes - restarted the base station a couple of times

Same symptom

Erased USB storage device and re-attached

Same

I may have fixed it by removing each camera from the subscription (5) and re adding.

Got an error saying -1 left

That fixed all execpt one

Removed and re added

Got no error the second time

All 5 cameras now working

Can do postiion tests and (Busy) goes away after 5-10 secs - success

Now monitoring battery usage again

Zardos,

At the time you originally opened this thread, Arlo was experiencing some issues that affected a small number of users. These issues have since been resolved: Intermittent issues with Arlo motion recording services

Are you still experiencing an issue?

Recording is working normally now thanks

However my issue with one camera draining a full set of batteries in a few days is still there

I have gone thru two sets of new batteries test that camera in the last couple of weeks and i do not have sufficient batteries to keep testing.

The other two H7s and one H8 seem fine

The problematic H7 is probably in the region of 4 metres from the base station

Swap cameras around to see if the problem stays with the camera or location.

Has netgear provided a fix for cameras being stuck in "motion detection test" and draining batteries.  I have a camera with a dead battery after 1 week.  I am out of state and unable to recharge the battery.  This is unacceptable for a "security" system.  Turning the camera on and off and re-setting the base station had not helped.  Thanks for the firmware update, it made the system worse!

Yes.  Still having the problem.  Have turned camera on and off; rebooted base station.  Battery completely drained after one week.  I won't be back home for an other week, so security monitoring is zilch.  FYI, I also had Arlo Q's which repeated went offline and had to be re-synched.  Fortunately Costco has a good return policy, so I took them back.  Now my Arlo Pros, which had been great for 10 months are not crap as well.  Not a happy netgear customer, especially since the initial cost is so high.
