Wirelessly Connect the Base Station to the Modem

This camera system will be used at a holiday house.  The guests have access to the modem (in case they need to reboot it) but I don't want them to have access to the base station.  How can I wirelessly connect the base station to the modem, so that it can be kept in a lockable cupboard?

Your only choice would be to use a WiFi extender so the base plugs into that.  Of course, that can add some complexity and possibility of issues with a router restart.  It generally should work fine but the possibility exists. Another approach would be a long Ethernet cable so you can reposition the base as desired.  Either approach has its own plusses and minuses.
