For a long-term project I want to connect the camera VMC 3030 to a powersupply. Can I use a 12 volt supply or should it be two 6 volt supplies? Two which of the four contact spirals inside the battery compartment shall the wires from the supply be connected?

Thank you,

Peter Nave

The camera DOES NOT run on 12v... you may fry the chips if attempted.

Also the usb line usu no longer works as power.

It uses 2 sets of 123 cells in parallel that flip/flop to drain both sets equality.

So each 123 cell is 3.2v when new and rechargables are 4.2v off charge...

So the voltage it runs on is 6.4 to 8.4 volts.

As to the hook ups, you need both sets of contacts wired as if you do only one side the V meter does not read correctly.
