Hi, does anyone know any Canadian, Toronto or near by retailers that carry good rechargable CR123s that work with ARLO system?

Trying to find local before going online. Prices in USD and CAD with currency exchange rates, customs, duties, tax makes it very expensive.

Thanks ahead of time!

Yes, you want a 16340/123 size cell at 3.7v and 600-750 mahr ( you really can't get over 750 mahr as there's not enough space for more power in that size )

Some of the cells I used were the lenght below... so the nite core are a tiny bit longer at 1.37 and prob close to the max lenght

tangsfire; lenght - 1.3365", width - .646

But from all I know ,they should fit if they are still the same ( and I believe them to be )  If you want to be really safe order a set of 4 with the charger first as the charger will work with any of the other li-ion 16340 cells.

From threads;

I tried out the nitecores last night. I charged them with the second generation D4 nitecore charger. They took about 2 1/2 hours to charge, output I believe is at 0.375/hr on the charger while charging four. They are a little bit taller because of the added circut board, but still fit nice in the Arlo camera.

There is an entire 23 page thread in the tps section re batteries; most were bought  from online sellers

https://community.netgear.com/t5/Buying-Options-Tips/Rechargeable-batteries-for-use-with-Arlo-camera...

but the end result was Nitecore @ 650 mahr and EagleTac @ 750mahr both at 3.7v, were IMO among the best.

Can't comment on any battery not listed in the 23 pages as there is enough manf's varience in sizes so some don't fit...

As a PS, make sure you get a quality charger for the cells, don't buy cheap china cells even tho the costs are low ( as so is the quality )

Thank you Tom!

Really appreciate your time and help and link to the extensive post.

1) I will look into getting the Nitecore and EagleTac. So far though it seems they are not available on the amazon.ca site =(

I was able to find them on this site: http://www.dx.com Do you have any experience or know if this site is trustworthy?

2) My order of preference is EagleTac 750 mahr, Nitecore 650 mahr then Tangsfire 1000mahr

3) Also in terms of chargers, what are you thoughts on the NiteCore i4 Univeral, is there something else that you recommend?

Cheers,
Yad

1) don't know about that company, I have used Batteryjunction.com before and had no problems

2) that mentioned charger was used by a few I believe, haven't tested it..prob more info in the thread...any 'major' company charger for li-ion with built in safety devices would prob be fine

Thanks Tom appreciate your reply.

Just wanted to confirm before I place order, is this the correct Nitecore 650 battery you were referring too:

http://www.batteryjunction.com/nitecore-nl166.html

My only concern is in the review some people say it is a bit longer than the standard cr123a size? Will it fit our Arlo cameras?\\

Thanks again for your time, much appreciated it!
