I know the Pros' base station can connect to USB drives now, but what about the original model's base station?

Not stupid , it was put there in the hopes of future options that never came through till the next gen with more mem and faster processor

But that's still stupid. Basically, we have to buy a new base station to have USB support.

The USB ports on the original base do output 5V if that's of any use to you. They just cannot be used for backups of recordings like the Pro Base can
