Camera battery went out about few months ago, but I didn't replace the battery since I wasn't using the camera.

Now I'm trying to enable the camera again after replacing the battery but it just won't sync with the base station.

I tried restarting the base station and after few mins, it lights green for power, internet, and the camera as well.

I also tried to take the battery out from the camera, restart the base station, wait until green light lids on power and internet, re-insert the battery to camera, as soon as the power returns in camera, the camera green light from the base station turns on.

On the camera, blue light blinks slowly, then it blinks rapidly for about 20 secs and it goes off.  I read the instructions and it tells me the camera should be in sync.

But when I login to admin page, I don't see my camera under my device.

I tried so many times in many different ways but everything is green, however, it won't sync.

No, I don't see any camera nor base station in My Devices.

But I resolved the issue.

On the back of the base station, there is a factory reset button that you can use to restore all the configurations back to factory default.

I pressed and hold for 10 seconds to reset and restart, and the camera sync worked fine after that.

It seems like when the base station was connected to different network previously, it gets confused and does not sync well.

I had WIFI extender before, which I no longer use.  So I thought maybe the base station was connected to extended network previously.

Thanks for all your good feedbacks.

Since you had the camera working previously, you might have to go into the settings first and delete the camera from there. Then restart the base and the camera and go through the sync process

I already have removed the camera from the config.

When I tried to reset the base station and camera by using "New to Arlo" link from the login, it wasn't able to discover my base station, for some reason.

On my smartphone screen, it remains at "Discovering your device, please wait" screen.

My base station is wired-connected directly to my router, so it should be on the network.  My smartphone is however, WIFI connected to network, but it should be on same network.

That's because you already have an account. Use the Add Device button in the Devices tab to add the base and then sync the cameras. The New System selection would be only to create a new account to then allow you to set up a new system.

I've been trying to add the camera using Add Device option.

Sync process went through fine. I see green lights on base station.  During camera sync, the green light flashes slowly for about 10 secs and rapidly flashes for about 10 secs, and it goes off.  So I assume sync completed successfully.  But I just don't see the added device on my config screen when I login to the account.

It seems like the camera itself is working, but it just doesn't show up on config screen.

morye,

When you log in to your Arlo account, navigate to Settings > My Devices. Do you see your base station and the camera there?

Very strange as it should not matter what network your base is plugged into.

Nonetheless, glad you got it working again 🙂
