Someone responded back to me yesterday but can’t fogire out how to get back to their comment! Our issues with camera sensor is that SENSOR picks up movement from outside of viewing area and the response was “depending on how camera is angled will then depend on whiat movement activated sensor for recording”. To me this makes absolutely NO SENSE WHATSOEVER! Sensor should only detect within what you can viewports else can you decide where to position camera to see where it’s recirding! I’ve tried from 100-down to 10 and have had no luck even at 100 and camera only captures out 40ft away with range left to right 120’ I still can’t actuvate sensor to start to record when I come into the viewing area of camera Seriously I’m about to pack it up and send it back unless I get a helpful answer to correct this issue, 677421 a shame there’s NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT TO HELP 😖nlythos forum for discussion!

The PIR will sense over the whole viewing area of the lens (it's possible that the area may be slightly larger but essentially the same). If you've used pan and zoom or zones the sensor still senses motion because you're just cropping the video, not the PIR. There's no way to crop what the PIR sees other than with some judicious use of tape over the sensor to block certain areas.

You should also read the FAQs here on best camera positioning practices. Motion should be across the FOV, not directtly at the camera.
