Both cameras show as dead batteries after replacing them with new batteries

I have two Arlo standard cameras and the newer style base station. I have been using the cameras for three years and the base station is less than one year old. Both cameras as showing dead batteries even after replacing them with new. I have uninstalled and reinstalled all three components and updated the firmware. Is this telling me the base station is bad?

This (excessive  battery drain ) can be common with power outage of the base...Has the base lost power ?

Can you check, re apps on phone, ios/android, to see wifi output level of the base?

Have there been any other changes?

What are the base leds showing ?

Rebooting the base sometimes helps clear the inaccurate report.
