Base Station is not recognized with new Arlo app

Downloaded new app.  Base station not recognized.  Followed instructions by unplugging base station from power and router; then connected to router and power - new app did not find base station. Repeated several times.

Why does Arlo not provide troubleshooting help to their existing customers?
