Just bought new batteries for one of the five arlo cameras, and when I put in the batteries, a blue light comes on and then goes off.  When I try of sync, the blue light slowly blinks, but no sync.  When I try to re-sync again by just quickly pressing the sync button on the camera, the blue light blinks slowly, followed by a blinking amber light, which goes out.  Not sure what that means, but camera will not sync.  I have opened the battery door several times and made sure the batteries were correctly positioned.  Need help! Thanks.

Vitriol,

Bring the cameras close to the base station and power cycle your base station. Open and close the battery compartment door. Do you still see the same behavior?

Turn the base off/on for a min...reset cameras

Also wait a short time between attemping to resync multi times. ( quick push like you did, not hold for 2 secs )

Thanks

I have a similar issues

I have six Arlo cameras

Some have ran out of battery, some have not

The ones that have don't reconnect to the base despite several attemps

They keep blinking blue and then stop

They are not visible on my app

They are on an old firmware but not sure that is relevant

Thanks for your help

Thanks

What fixed it in the end was:

- rebooting the base a few times

- resynching the cameras (which didn t seem to work at first but, at some point, unlocked the 'upgrade firmware' option)

- upgrading the firmware (had to try several times)

Thank you JamesC, that did work.  I spoke with customer service and that is exactly what they had me do.  They call it power cycling the cameras and the base station.  I just unplugged everything for 2 minutes and everything synced again.
