I'm amazed that several years in and despite massive advances in computer vision, Arlo Secure is still fairly useless. It regularly identifies plants swaying in the wind as cars and people and sends me an enormous number of useless alerts. Still doesn't understand what cobwebs are. How difficult can this be to solve by suppressing frequent identical alerts and using decent AI models. Wondering if I'm the only one who has this experience and whether there's anything I can do besides moving to a different manufacturer

Have you repositioned the camera to eliminate moving tree/bushes parts? Have you reduced the motion sensitivity in your modes and rules? PIR sensors can't determine whether reflected sun's IR or spider webs are actual detections so some modification of your setup is likely needed.

I did. Now with winds over the past few days I get a message literally every 20 seconds and constantly need to turn off notifications. I’m truly amazed at how bad this is. No way to suppress repeating notifications and really bad object detection. What is the value of the subscription? Is there a way to provide feedback to the product team?

What's your motion sensitivity setting in your modes and rules? A screenshot of the camera view would be useful for suggestions.

For legacy/EOL cameras, the subscription gives you 30 days of cloud recordings as well as access to official support via Settings, Support. However, support for legacy cameras is limited so it may not prove to be useful.
