Video doorbell was configured with Arlo hub for pro 3. It is detecting motion and sending alerts. However it does not record when motion is detected. Is it supposed to? Or, does it only record when someone presses button on doorbell?

I recently installed a VMB4540 hub. I can only see the videos in the external hard drive attached in my iPhone app but not in the computer.

Correct,  Direct Access to Local Storage is restricted to the app (and the primary account).

And it only rings about 25% of the time? I am thinking there might be a power issue, or perhaps defective doorbell hardware.

 

The warranty is 12 months - you might want to check exactly when it expires.
