Doorbell not recording

On two occasions this week I had packages delivered and my doorbell did not pickup the person. I heard the truck leave and immediately went out to retrieve the package and my doorbell picked up my movement and alerted me. It will alert for cars and people walking by but didn’t pick up the people walking up to my porch.

If you walk up to the door using the same path, does the doorbell reliably detect you?

FWIW, I've found that the delivery folks often don't walk up the steps to my door.  Instead they often stop when they reach the porch, and then toss/slide the package the rest of the way.  The doorbell often will miss that.

Agree with the delivery person not walking up onto the porch issue. That's one reason I also have another camera monitoring the porch.
