I cannot find my transformer in my house to replace it. Is there a way to bypass and get a different chime box or something? Electricians want over 175 dollars to come out just to find it.

What chime model do you have?  Not all are compatible.  Sometimes the transformer is in an electrical box behind the chime, so that is one thing you could check.  Some models have integrated transformers (and have normal AC power running to the chime).

One option is to get an electical meter, and measure the voltage at the doorbell.  You could then confirm that the voltage is AC, and that the voltage is between 16-24 VAC.

If you are seeing AC voltage, but between 8-16 VAC you could exchange the doorbell for the wirefree model.  That will trickle-charge the battery.

You could run new wiring, with a new chime and transformer.    Though that likely would need an electrician.

An intermediate step is to get a plug-in transformer, and use that to power the doorbell.   Also get an Arlo Chime 2, and use that instead of your current chime.  https://kb.arlo.com/000062414/How-can-I-install-my-Arlo-Video-Doorbell-without-an-existing-doorbell-...
