Manual record icon disappears. Sometimes it is there, sometimes it isn't.

Do you have 4K livestreaming enabled?

 

Manual Recording is only available for 1080p.  4K livestreaming requires you to be on your home wifi, and the app will fall back to 1080p livestreaming when it doesn't think it can do 4K.

 

Not sure, but that might result in the icon appearing only when the stream is 1080p, and disappearing when it is 4K.

Does this occur using the arlo web portal in a pc browser or the mobile app?
When it occurs, if you logout and back in again does it reappear?

Mobile app on android. No it makes no difference, the icon seems to have gone completely. It was there a few days ago as I did a manual recording. I went to record something today and it is not available.

Ahh yes you are correct, that is the issue. Disappointing that you can't record in 4k though, considering the price of the product, it would be nice if arlo fixed this issue.

All good the issue has been solved. You can't manually record in 4k live. 4k has to be turned off if you wish to record manually.
