I purchased the Arlo Ultra 2 Camera Kit that comes with a "1-Year Free Smart Subscription". When I called support because the option to activate the free subscription wasn't available on the app, they said I would have to sign up for the subscription, pay monthly, and that I would be reimbursed each month for being charged and that's the only way they can do it. I was reluctant about it because I had a bad feeling, but I trusted them. Well, I was charged 8-days ago and no refund. Is this a scam that Arlo is doing to get $$ from their customers and lying about the "free subscription" plan?
