Just got a notification that the subscription of the Arlo Secure Plan is being increased yet again. What I find appaling is the fact that the company tries to justify the price increase with all these new features yet the increase for the monthly subscription option is a significant $8/month unless you want to pay for a full year in advance which is what many companies are doing to lock you in. I remember just a couple of years ago I was paying $9.99/mo which will now be double for the same quality equipment I can get with many of their competitors. So, what I will do instead is cancel my subscription and trash the cameras and switch to something better and more reasonable priced. This is not to offer the end users more features but to price gouge and be greedy.

This is just the final straw for me. I switched internet providers and when I did, one of my cameras would not reconnect. It took me several months to get it to reconnect and when I did they tried to claim my started a new account. I've been in Arlo customer for many years. Now they're trying to tell me that they cannot put it back to my original account because it appears somebody else owns that account. I sent them screenshots of my bank account and a copy of the property wreck card proving I'm the owner of the house. They still won't do anything. So this price increase is it for me. My husband found another camera system that is a bit more expensive but there are no monthly fees. I am selling my two cameras and I am getting out

I forgot, what's worse is I never even got a warning that there was a price increase. I just got the notification this morning that they charged me $20 instead of 13. Screw this unethical, unprofessional and irresponsible company

Yup.. will be ditching this company at the start of next year. I did not want to spend money on a whole other system at this point in time so I pitched over the money at yearly price but I will be buying new cams during Black Friday. Good luck Arlo, this won’t end well for you. For instance ring only charges $100 a month for unlimited cameras…….

I also canceled my subscription with arlo. I was NEVER notified of the increase until the payment was taken from my c.c.! If I have to pay this outrageous price I'll get something more reliable than this crappie company!!

CEO makes $9,911,634. I'm done. 10 years now. They are just greedy. They will be bankrupt in 10 years. This is not sustainable. Make them pay in pocketbook. I'm cancelling.

I have made up my mind - current period I am out.
The company has proven untrustworthy.
They ignore customer feedback, offer flimsy excuses for unjustified price hikes, and seem to raise their fees constantly. There's also a complete lack of engagement with their user community.
With Eufy, I can get cameras that offer better functionality without any subscription fees.
Over the next two years, the money I save by canceling Arlo will easily cover the cost of a new and superior Eufy system.
Overall, I'm extremely disappointed with how Arlo handles pricing and their apparent disregard for customer concerns.
I've already talked several friends and colleagues out of buying Arlo products.
That’s a small win - those potential customers would have brought in around $2,000 annually for Arlo.

Holy Smokes, today I learned by looking at my credit card that I had been charged 5 days ago for a yearly subscription some $215.88. 2024 was $149.99, 2023 was 119.88, 2022 was 99.00, 2021 was 99.00, 2020 was 99.00. Where in the world does Arlo feel they can jack up rates like this without notification? No email, no nothing!!! Tried to cancel my annual subscription, and they won't cancel it until this time next year, meaning I'm stuck with paying $215.88. No phone number to call to reach an agent, oh "I'm not entitled to speak with an agent with this subscription!!!" Fellas, I'm out of here and I've got some cameras that aren't worth a dam!! I'm disputing the charge with my credit card company, so we will see how well that goes.
