I cannot find local records in new app. for some time there were visible in "Feed" but not anymore.
I use only basic plan before it was easy to get them.

I've found that sometimes the selection in Feed for Cloud/Local doesn't display. I have to go to any other page (Dashboard, Devices, etc.) and then back to Feed to see the selection.
You can also go to the hub's settings, click on Storage Settings to see local recordings.

it does not work for me. I hope it will be solved soon. otherwise system is not useful or focuses on paid services only!!!

VMB4540r2 + 4xUltra2 + 1x Doorbell.
I did not have any issue with before app.

@sirk77: So the local recordings are shown when you go to "storage settings". They can be downloaded and viewed from there.
Can you also post a screenshot of the "Feed" page?

Are you saying "Local" and "Cloud" are no longer on shown on the "Feed' page?

I think it should still show "Cloud" and "Local" at the top.
FWIW, I have a subscription, and my iOS app is also no longer showing these controls on the "Feed" page either. I am running 5.3.2 (8834)

This issue has been around and was brought up/ discussed back months ago (say last Sept/Oct?) No action from ARLO of course.

@jguerdat was correct with the issue. While traditionally this has been, and is still, working on Devices >> (hub) >> Storage Settings --- starting a particular release (back Setp/Oct 2024?), ARLO started introducing "local" tab (next to "cloud" tab) under "Feed", trying to achieve the same function of playing local recordings.
However, this "LOCAL" is just another confusing bug, adding zero (if not -ve) value to user experience:
- "local" tab is simply absent, most of the times when "feed" is clicked for the first time
- clicking away from "feed" (say clicking "dashboard") and then back "feed" will usually show the "local" tab correctly next to "cloud" tab, BUT still ---
- "local" tab will take ages to show local recordings ---- long enough to confuse user that it is a blank page, before clicking away
- even if user is patient enough to wait and be able to see local recordings,
- the recording are grouped STRANGELY under multiple occurences of the same date (vs having those recordings grouped together, under one single date)
- some recordings are simply grouped under the wrong date (especially those close to 12am)
Since Devices >> (hub) >> storage settings continues to be working perfectly, I am just ignoring this "local" tab. I won't even bother to push for a fix, given other show stoppers that I consider higher priority.
But yes this is a long outstanding bug.

If the recordings are actually saved in the local storage, then I suggest trying uninstalling the app and then reinstalling it. (If you have Android, try clearing the app cache first).
I have seen similar issues on my own system from time to time. Reinstalling the app generally resolves it. I know its the app in my case, because when I reinstall it only on my iPad, the iPad shows the recordings correctly, but my iPhone does not.

both methods(cache clear, reinstall app) do not work for me(android)
even jumping between Dashboard and Feed page. i see only "nice" invitation to get a plan...
I thought the same thing as I saw the new app and the hidden access to local recordings(a few steps are necessary to get them...) if this is a conscious plan it's time to say good bye to Arlo!

cache clear, reinstall the app does not work , i do it many times for weeks.
if i put the SD card on my laptop SURPRISE the files are here and can be played.
