Got New iPhone Now Automations Not Working

My wife has an iPhone 13 Pro and I had an iPhone 14 Pro. With those two phones automations worked perfectly (as long as we both logged out/logged back in to the app every two weeks).

I recently got a new iPhone 15 Pro and the automations no longer work. I removed the old iPhone 14 Pro from my list of trusted devices. I deleted the app from the old phone and wiped the old phone clean…still no joy with the automations.

Is there something special I need to do when getting a new phone to get automations (geofencing in particular) working again?

Changing phones doesn't affect settings, even for geofencing. However, you need to check your GF settings to remove your old phone and add the new one. In addition, you also need to check the phone settings for both location services to be enabled as well as the phone settings for the app to ensure location services are allowed all the time. The app has to rely on your phone to know when in or out of the zone.
