I previosly installed Arlo wi-fi cams x 8 on 2 base stations. No probs unless my upload speed goes below 2 Mb/s.

4 Cameras turn to green on the Arlo app when this happens. My Telstra Cable Modem needs to be reset when this happens to get it above 2 Mb/s.Painful.Latest Firmware on Telstra /Netgear Modem/Router.

I tried installing this Arlo Q  but it fails after a few seconds.

Turned off the 2 Wi-Fi base stations to reduce uploads. Same problem.

Installed a Q Plus- No Problems !!!! Q Plus works !

Tried installing the Q again and again and again!!!!!

HELP !!!!

Return the Q and swap for another.

fraserfroz,

Consider a factory reset of your Arlo Q. This can be done by pressing and holding the reset button until you hear a click and the camera reboots (may take 10 or more seconds). Allow the camera to reboot and try again.

It is also worth noting that special characters in your SSID/Password could be causing an issue, for more information on how to resolve this, take a look at this article: Can special characters in a network name cause problems for Arlo Q?
