I have been receiving complain from my relatives that their unit sometimes needed power reboot for 14 days and later not powering up. So I retrieve this unit and test.
After I reset the account connection and plug in the power, the light flash and working (and it is another hardcase for arqument in distributor.)
(I also upgrade the firmware while I am at it.)
My experience with other brand ip camera is: It does not have live record (it can do live view), the sound is a major issue, and the view from computer interface is just bad. The only benefit is I do not have to power reset for every 8 months.
My experience with Arlo Q plus is: power reset 3 times(reboot once per 2 week). Sound and picture quality is great. I do not to add any record server and I can just view from chrome/edge.
(Note: it is not place in my place and some people dislike to set arm/disarm mode. They just wanted to set and forget)
I should I do a durability test or lower down the detection (sound/movement sensor) and all the full 24/7 armed mode or schedule mode. I believed the unit is getting the video record almost nonstop daily and it is warm/hot consistently. (The other reason is my other brand ipcam does not freeze because it only did live view.)
My mind is resisting to get another arlo camera because of that issue.
Anyone with arlo q plus with 24/7 armed mode experience warm/heat or bi/tri-weekly reboot? (Different country's temperary may varies)

Don't know why you having an issue...but if the Q camera overheats it actually shuts down and displays a messg like ' unit must cool down'
This was discovered by a person running theirs in a sunny window on a heat radiator
btw, my runs 24/7 and it does feel quite warm, but not hot
