Arlo and connecting over wifi

Hi, can anyone tell me
1) which arlos connect to the base station over the home WiFi network? This would be versus just connecting over local WiFi between the base station and the cameras. I’m having difficulty getting a good signal on one of my cameras despite moving the base.
I do have a very strong WiFi network in my home.
2) do all arlo cameras work with the arlo pro base? Could I switch one camera out to a better camera?

The Arlo, Arlo Pro, and Arlo Pro2 all require a base unit ( base hooks into router).

The Q, Q plus, and Arlo Baby hook directly into your home wifi system.

All of the Arlo cameras will work with any base.....tho don't think swapping cam would make much diff.

You could add a second base for the hard to reach camera
