my motion icon on my arlo pro turned yellow but it does not appear to be recording

Sometimes it's just a display issue.  Flushing the cache for the app and browser can help as can logging out and back in.  If that doesn't help, try power cycling the base.

Check the rules in the recording mode you're using. Make sure the rule says that the camera that detects motion is also the camera that records and that  it's set to record and for either a length of time or until motion stops
