Orange/Red Blinking Light On Camera & Won't Sync

I have switched batteries with another camera to eliminate the battery issue, but I still cannot sync my add on camera. I get a red/orange blinking light after an initial blinking blue when I plug in the charger.

What LED activity do you get when you press the sync button?

No light at all. Lights flash on the base, but nothing on the camera.

That would imply a dead battery or bad camera. What happens when you try to sync with the camera plugged in to power?
