Hi,

I have a Arlo base station (Model #: VMB3500r4) with Arlo Pro cameras (I believe it is H5). I would like to connect them to either Apple TV or Fire TV so that can watch them in my TV.

I don't see VMB3500 in the following FAQ,

https://kb.arlo.com/000062279/How-do-I-connect-my-Arlo-camera-to-Apple-HomeKit

Can you advice on how to view my camera feed in the TV and share any appropriate links ?

Thanks,

AJ

Here's the knowledge base article for Fire TV and Fire stick.  I believe the Amazon integration works by linking the Arlo account to the Amazon account via Alexa.  This should work for you, whereas the Apple HomeKit integration works via communication between the Arlo hub and the Apple hub.  I don't know enough about Apple stuff to say whether Apple TV and HomeKit are (in practice) the same thing in this context.

The Arlo app used to run on the Apple TV - allowing users to get all the app features.

Unfortunately, Arlo dropped that in 2019 - so users are now limited to HomeKit.  The Apple TV can be used as a home hub (which is needed if you want to remotely use homekit features).

@arlo76 I use the Amazon Firestick to view live feeds on TV on my Pro3's. I haven't used in a while though and not sure if it works with older models.

To use the Friestick on a TV ( which I do ).... you need at least a sec gen fire stick or better.

Then you have to allow Alexa to learn the Arlo info

A tip is that make sure your cameras have specific names such as rear cam/front cam as calling them cam 1 / cam2 tends not to work well.

BTW, arming seems not to work but viewing does work well

Do a search for vids, these should get you started;
