My camera is set up in my front window and it wont detect motion at the sidewalk or street. The street curb is approximately 40' from the camera.

What is the range for the motion detection and will it improve with future updates?

Motion detection is about 20'-25' max.  Idealy, the less distance, the better.  It also seems to work better detecting moting from the side vs. straight on.

As mentioned, for people about 20 ft max

But the Arlo and Arlo PRO do not work thru window glass if that how you have it set ! ( most glass reflects the IR and thats how the sensor works )
